“Emotion” stuffed with hooks and positive vibes….

Renowned recording artist Lourdes Baron is definitely starting 2017 off right with her hit track titled “Emotion” featuring Haguy Mizrahi. In this new single Lourdes shows off her versatility, demonstrating how she is not, WILL NOT, can not be defined by individual lanes or labels. This endearing anthem will take the listener on a familiar journey through the mind, the cosmos and back again. When she purrs “wherever you go I’ll cry me a river that leads to your ocean..” I, and many others were instantly captivated if you/they had not already been mesmerized by that moment in time. It adds up to a pop, rockish master class, rifling through the seventies and eighties sounds and stacking hooks on hooks on hooks. But regardless of the genre the default mode is triumph.

Lourdes D. Baron ~ Emotion

Lourdes reinvents herself accordingly and Haguy Mizrahi is kicking the rocks too. Rather than slamming into action. A team effort detonating oneness like an infinity symbol. They must be strategizing for the long road of success ahead. I’m a new fan of the singer and will be patiently waiting to hear what 2017 will in fact bring. What will she coo next to win my heart?

Music Review ♫ Singer Lourdes Baron Revitalizes Al Greens’ ‘Let’s Stay Together’

Lourdes Duque Baron Mixes Assertiveness With Vulnerability On Her New Record

Lourdes D. Baron ~ "Lets Stay Together" - Label: Timeless Entertainment, Inc

EOTM ♪♪♬ Critic Score: 91 (out of 100)

Lourdes D. Baron knows there are two ways people think about her.  For some, she epitomizes all that has gone right…. in the world of a pop star, and for others there is a savory light in the eye of an entrepreneur, humanitarian, author, wife, mother. A woman partaking in her own ideas with the hopes of changing the world! These differing Lourdes Barons’ are all actually one in the same, and if you pay close attention you would notice they tend to show up in the same place at the same time. It’s that double whammy, a unique sometimes uncanny ubiquity many wish they could embody. Lourdes does this effortlessly.

Baron’s music career spans four albums to date, the most recent “Let’s Stay Together,” which made its debut, in the fall of 2016. On his new album, the singer-songwriter turns Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together,” into a formative funktastic 21st century soul session.

“I recorded vocals with my eyes closed. I wanted to envision Al Green NEXT to me … Coaching me,” Baron shared in a recent interview.

Sounding like nothing else out there, distinct even from Al Green, Barons take on Let’s Stay Together  is matchless, sexy without being over bearing and next level out while being street corner down. A superb swansong.

Lourdes delivers obstinately, with wit and indubious charm while belting words we remember, “Why people break up, to turn around and make up, I just can’t see, you NEVER do that to me — You better NOT do — staying around you is all I can see – All these eyes will ever see….” As she withdraws purring with ‘Lets Stay Together,’ – Okay…??

A heart achingly true ole school type hard core love song from way back. The artiste continues unabated, recalling a season of good and bad …in such a way….dare I say, Al Green and crooners of his countenance, could not possibly duplicate….unless – well, they happen to live a well balanced life. It’s in the tone, not necessarily the words which almost always have dual meaning. A well constructed arrangement of harmonious vibrations, confabulating it’s own type of amour. The acclaimed singer truly dug deep into her emotions and talents for this one, doing so with boldness and grace (with eyes closed, as she says) helping accent a reoccurring message of perseverance, love and forgiveness.

Barons voice is like a candle of hope  in a world that could use a little more light. The Diva and her musical team have an astounding knack for melody and retro-influenced instrumentation all under 4 minutes. “Let’s Stay Together” brings the jangle and hook to the forefront.

No filler – all killer here. NO excuses – get it now!

@TheGRAMMYs 2015: Predictions, Nominees, Time, Date & Channel

Trying to predict the Grammys is a mug’s game: There are so many dang awards, the October-to-September eligibility period makes zero sense, and you’re never sure when the voters will just say, “Screw it” and hand an award to a bunch of old white guys whose band broke up 30 years ago.

2015 Grammy Predictions - Image credit(s) @Getty @EOTMMedia

Which is what makes it fun! In a year when most of the eventual Oscar winners have been locked in since December, it’s fun to watch an awards show where nobody has any idea what’s going to happen. This year, as in all years, there’s only one guarantee: The winners will make people mad. But which ones will make people maddest? Read our predictions below to see & sound off in comments!

Beyonce, Pharrell Williams and Sam Smith lead the pack of nominees this year with six nods each, including album of the year. Iggy Azalea, Beck, Eric Church, engineer Tom Coyne, Drake, Gordon Goodwin, Jay Z, Miranda Lambert, Sia, Usher and Jack White are not far behind with four nominations each.

Beyonce makes history this year by becoming the most-nominated female artist in Grammy history. U2 is now the most-nominated group in history — as the Irish band will be competing for best rock album for “Songs of Innocence.” Miley Cyrus, meanwhile, is in the running for her first Grammy — “Bangerz” is up for best pop vocal album. And the late Joan Rivers posthumously received a nod for best spoken word album for “Diary of a Diva.”

Buzz is building around some of the major categories for Music’s Biggest Night, including best new artist, which features some of the hottest top-notch talent to make it big this past year: Sam Smith, Iggy Azalea, Bastille, Haim and Brandy Clark.

But who’s it going to be?

SEE ALSO: 2015 Grammy Nominees: The Full List

Spotify compiled global data on the top streamed songs, albums and artists in each of the categories and came up with predictions based on number of streams and virality (shares). The team there expects Smith to take the category thanks to the success of his hit songs “Stay With Me” and “I’m Not the Only One.”

“He had an incredible breakthrough year last year with a fantastic album and a number of songs that Spotify listeners absolutely adored,” said Shanon Cook, Spotify’s trends expert.

Still, Cook says — don’t count out Bastille. “They had a massive song last year called ‘Pompeii.’ It started out as a big hit in the U.K. and it crossed over the Atlantic to the U.S.,” she said.

A couple of the same artists appear in the record of the year category: “Fancy,” Iggy Azalea featuring Charli XCX; “Chandelier,” Sia; “Stay With Me (Darkchild Version),” Sam Smith; “Shake It Off,” Taylor Swift; “All About That Bass,” Meghan Trainor.

All these songs are pretty great (and quite catchy we might add), but this category appears to come down to Sia, Swift and Smith. Spotify, for one, expects Sia to win for “Chandelier” based on its criteria.

But Julie Cunningham, SiriusXM Entertainment Weekly radio host, tells CBS News she thinks Smith could take the category.

The song of the year category — another big award (which goes to the songwriter) — features the following nominees: “All About That Bass,” Meghan Trainor and Kevin Kadish; “Chandelier,” Sia and Jesse Shatkin; “Shake It Off,” Taylor Swift, Max Martin and Shellback; “Stay With Me (Darkchild Version),” Sam Smith, James Napier and William Phillips; “Take Me to Church,” Hozier.

Both Smith and Sia have a strong chance of winning song of the year. But it’s really anyone’s guess at this point in the game.

“x” – Ed Sheeran”Beyonce” – Beyonce”Morning Phase” – Beck”In the Lonely Hour” – Sam Smith”Girl” – Pharrell Williams

And finally, there’s a range of acts competing for the night’s most coveted award: album of the year.

Beck is up for “Morning Phase,” Beyonce is in the running for her self-titled album, Ed Sheeran is nominated for “x,” and Smith will compete with his “In the Lonely Hour” set.

Some signs are pointing to Beyonce for the big win, but Spotify predicts Sheeran will take home the big prize.

“His album ‘Multiply’ was the biggest album we had last year. It got over more than 400 million streams. It was just a gorgeous album,” said Cook.

Smith is also a potential winner for this category, which means there’s a chance the British singer could see a few wins.

“You would think this would be Taylor Swift’s year. She’s rising so high right now with ’1989′ but that’s actually not the case,” said Cunningham, who noted that Swift’s “1989″ album wasn’t released in time to be considered for the nominations – thought the single “Shake It Off” was.

Swift will, though, take a turn as a presenter, alongside many other stars, including Dierks Bentley, James Corden, Jamie Foxx, Barry Gibb, Dave Grohl, Jennifer Hudson, Enrique Iglesias, Nick Jonas, Anna Kendrick, Shia LaBeouf, Katharine McPhee, Gwyneth Paltrow, Pentatonix, Smokey Robinson, Nile Rodgers, Gina Rodriguez, Taylor Swift, Meghan Trainor, Keith Urban, The Weeknd and Stevie Wonder.

The ceremony will feature a host of performances and plenty of collaborations, too. Brandy Clark, AC/DC, Tony Bennett, Herbie Hancock, Hozier, ELO, Jessie J, Tom Jones, Lady Gaga, Miranda Lambert, Common, John Legend, Ariana Grande and Beck are all on the bill — and there will likely be a few surprises.

Madonna is reportedly going to kick off the evening with a few of her new songs.

And Sia is another performer to watch.

“She has a tendency to perform with her back to the audience or her face obscured…So I’m really excited to see how she executes this performance,” said Cook. “Are we going to actually see her?”

Super Bowl halftime performer Katy Perry will also take the stage. One question: How will she top those dancing sharks?

LL Cool J will keep the show moving as he’s hosting the ceremony once again, marking his fourth consecutive year as emcee.

“I think it’s admirable of them to have an African-American hosting the biggest music show in the world,” LL Cool J told CBS News.

So, as you see — some of the hottest stars in music will be honored at the 57th annual Grammy Awards. The show kicks off Sunday, February 9th at 8 p.m. ET –and airs live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on CBS.

10 Unsettling Things We Didn’t Know About Michael Jackson

By Carla B.

Follow us: @eotmonline on Twitter |EOTM.Media on Facebook

It’s hard to believe five years has lapsed since Michael Jackson’s death. The king of pop passing away on June 25, 2009 — just as he was preparing a comeback tour that he hoped would pull him out of debt and restore his reputation.

Credit: Getty/EOTM Media

In light of it all we wanted to share a few things you may or may not have known about the pop star. (viewer discretion advised)

1. The King of Pop was nearly excommunicated from the Jehovah’s Witnesses for making the most famous video of all time, “Thriller.”

(When the Jehovah’s Witnesses found out he was making a werewolf video, they threatened to excommunicate him because it violated their strict rules about occult imagery)

2. The late pop singer was a satanist. He was a big fan of Aleister Crowley, reading many of his books and practicing Crowley’s so-called “magic” and summoning of spirits, such as that of dead singer, Liberace.

3. “The Moonwalk” dance,  Jackson did not create, however he popularized it. The nifty moves were inspired by Crowley’s book on Satanism that states people should practice walking, talking and reading backwards.

4. Deepak Chopra and MJ were great friends practicing eastern religion and the occult together.

5. Like all Pagans Michael Jackson believed he was his own god and sought adulation to the point of utter blasphemy.

6. Michael Jackson made his children aware of the dark side of the entertainment industry.

7. The creator of Michael Jackson dangerous album cover was the artist Mark Ryden. Much of the life of Michael Jackson is reflected in it both in pictures as symbols. At the bottom of cover, you can see the image of Aleister Crowley…or as some believe it to be an image of P.T. Barnum (both were well known satanist). Another interesting fact, early editions of The Satanic Bible included numerous dedications to people such as Friedrich Nietzsche, P.T. Barnum, Mark Twain, Howard Hughes, Marilyn Monroe, George Orwell, H.G. Wells, and Harry Houdini.

8. In 2000, Vanity Fair reported that Jackson went so far as to bathe in blood and have a number of animals sacrificed so he could put death curses on Steven Spielberg and others. In the article, it was reported that Jackson attended a voodoo ritual in Switzerland, and a witch doctor named Baba sacrificed 42 cows as part of the death curse ceremony. Jackson ordered his former business adviser, Myung-Ho Lee, to wire $150,000 to a bank in Mali to cover the cost of the ceremony. The witch doctor promised Jackson that Spielberg, music mogul David Geffen, and 23 other people on Jackson’s hit list would die. (all of which are still alive, ironically MJ is no longer with us)

9. Michael Jackson was one of the best dancers of his or any generation. Though he did not invent the moonwalk, he certainly perfected it. However, even Michael wasn’t capable of defying gravity—in the music video for “Smooth Criminal,” he is seen standing at a 45-degree angle, far beyond any human’s capability.

(This was accomplished by way of US Patent No. 5,255,452, granted to Michael and two partners for their “Method and Means for Creating Anti-Gravity Illusion.” This method was a pair of shoes, footwear with slot in the heels to hook onto retractable pegs in the floor. Michael patented the device not to generate income but to keep others from using the effect. Fortunately for imitators, the patent expired in 2005 after its owners missed a payment.)

10. In the end, it appeared Michael Jackson tried to warn his fans of the devil worship happening in the music industry and the truth about our history in the good ole US of A.

Oh and since we are on the subject, does this statement ring any bells to you hip hop Jay Z lovers?

“Do what thou wilt”

It’s actually a quote from none other than, you guessed it — Aleister Crowley, from his The Book of The Law — which is one of the founding tenets of Satanism.

So, was MJ really a satanist? You have to answer that for yourself.

The real question is, who isn’t in Hollywood?

Lourdes Duque Baron ‘Feeling Good’ – New Music Review

“It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life…for me and I’m feeling good. Fish in the sea, you know how I feel. River running free, you know how I feel. Blossom on the tree, you know how I feel. It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day…it’s a new life… for me…and I’m feeling good,” Lourdes Duque Baron pompously declares over a volley of chords, amplified resonance, rhythm, measure and melody in the dramatic introduction to Feeling Good.

Lourdes Duque Baron — ‘Feeling Good’

Let’s face it. Subtlety was never the 67 -year-old’s strong point. From the amazing cover of Amy Winehouse’s, Me & Mr. Jones to others like, Our Day Will Come, a “jaunty, twangy trip inside the psyche of every woman.” The come-hither baby boomer wants the world to know that she is here, bitches – and feels good about it! Hell yes! Baron has survived the toxic terrain of the 60′s & 70′s – the American feminist movement, where a generation of college-educated housewives felt trapped and unfulfilled. Today, post woman’s rights turf – is now ready to – excuse the awful plant metaphor – bloom again!

The Andrew Lane produced anthem is a simmering adrenalin-charged shot of pop & soul that proves once and for all that age is nothing but a number. Talent, passion & beauty trumps all – and a phenomenal, inspiring entertainer… almost 70 years old can in fact be very marketable and packaged…like so…fitting rather comfortably in the new age sound-scape that has taken over the music industry. Heaven is smiling …and with an instrument as powerful as this — well, it’s no wonder why she’s hot.Baron delivers tracks that reel in music lovers young & old — and you can bet your bottom dollar – long after the buzz subsides this Feel Good crooner…will still be winning.

Chris Brown Can’t Get a Break…. Heading To Jail After Violating Probation

Follow us:@eotmonline on Twitter |EOTM.Media on Facebook

Hip hop artist Chris Brown has been arrested, this according to ABC News. Brown, 24, was taken into custody for violating his probation stemming from the 2009 assault charge against singer, Rihanna.

The singer was booked into jail in downtown Los Angeles, where he is being held without bail.

Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos, said Friday afternoon he didn’t have an immediate comment on the arrest.

Brown had been ordered to spend time in an anger-management program for a few months, pending the verdict of a concurrent though unrelated legal issue in Washington, D.C.

Brown was “cooperative” when deputies arrested him in Malibu about 2 p.m. Friday, according to a statement released by the sheriff’s department.

Two sheriff’s officials who had been briefed on the arrest told The Times that a judge asked the rehab facility to notify authorities if Brown showed up.

The facility called authorities Friday when Brown arrived and advised them the singer was supposed to be arrested. After confirming the warrant with the Probation Department, sheriff’s deputies arrested the singer.

Several sources said they did not know how Brown may have violated the terms of his probation.

Last October, Brown and his bodyguard were accused of assaulting a man in the wee hours of the morning outside of a local nightclub.

According to a police report, Brown hurled a homophobic slur at a man before saying, “I feel like boxing,” and punching him. USA, LLC

Brown has pleaded not guilty and the charges were reduced to a misdemeanor at a previous hearing.

We praying he gets it together…sooner rather than later.
