Drake – “How About Now”

By Michelle Walker

Follow us:@eotmonline on Twitter |EOTM.Media on Facebook

New music from Drake seems to come at random times and that remains true today as a fresh track from the Toronto rapper has popped up titled ‘How About Now’. The song spans exactly four minutes in length and there’s no word on what project it’ll be placed on.

Drake

“Always felt my vision been bigger than the bigger picture. Crazy how you gotta wait until it’s dark out to see who really with you. Crazy how even when they miss you, shit will come back around and get ya” rhymes the OVO artist. While there’s no question Drake can sing, ‘How About Now’ is mainly his rapping talents at the forefront. A female voice recording starts off the track and then the instrumental kicks in.

Whether or not Drake intended for ‘How About Now’ to be released is unknown. Regardless, the track is dope. Look for Drake to release his next studio album ‘Views From The 6′ in the spring of 2015 and stream the new record below.

Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” video: Hit or Miss?

By Dorothy Frazier

It looks like Nicki Minaj is giving pop/country music’s greatest singer ever, Taylor Swift a run for her money this week in music. I couldn’t/wouldn’t make this stuff up folks. [shrugs] Nicki’s new “Anaconda” video was unleashed earlier today and has created quite a stir in social media, reaching nearly 5 million YouTube views in less than 24 hours.

Nicki Minaj's video for "Anaconda," released August 2014.

Sex really does sell and I am sure Miley Cyrus would second this notion. The twerk-heavy, sexual, racy video has garnered praise from some fans, while others are left scratching their heads. What are your thoughts? Sound off in the comments below and let a girl know what’s up! Is it a hit or a miss!?? I dunno, I am not feeling this one, but Nicki won’t lose sleep over this lil fact, she racking in the hoe, I mean doe. (ijs) By the way, did I mention Swift just released her new POP album?! Singer August Alsina has had an amazing career the past couple years, seeing massive success for his hit singles “Ghetto” featuring Rich Homie Quan and “Make It Home” featuring Young Jeezy.

Yesterday Alsina stopped by 106 & Park to promote his new album, ‘Testimony,” and during the interview, well — something we can only label ‘weird and unusual’ happened.

106 & Park host Keshia Chante decided to push her luck and ask a question that apparently was to be off limits. Now if you remember a few weeks ago a VladTV interview with August went viral. He was addressing the cancellation of a show that was supposed to take place with him and Trey Songz. In the video he implied Trey Songz thought he was better than him and was acting funny. August said straight up, “I don’t f@*k with Trey”! Keshia asked if he thought the two could bury the hatchet and this is what happened…

“So you just gonna go against the grain and go against everything that … I just told ya’ll not to ask me that [expletive] when I got up in here,” he replied to Chante.

Lourdes Duque Baron | Me & Mr Jones, Free Download | MTV Music Artist

By Carla B.

Fans can now search for Lourdes Duque Baron on MTV and download Me & Mr Jones ft AKNU  free for a limited time, with a click of the mouse.

Lourdes D. Baron’s ‘Me & Mr. Jones’ Headed to Billboards Hot 100, this you can be sure of.

At first blush Me & Mr. Jones brings to mind the sultry, melancholic crooner, Amy Winehouse. Then the lo-fi beats set in and the voice begins anew, recalling Emily Blunt in her heyday, before wings soaring upward, epitomizing hot chicks with super power & smarts that our Mothers and Grandmothers would be proud of. Girl Power at its finest and the lyrics, well… are both acerbic and buoyant. And whether they realize it or not, our Men, they can never…will ever… get enough of us, them, super hot, feisty chicks with super powers — that shoal can sing.

The song is off the singers ‘Feeling Good At Any Age,’ album which is slated for release June 2014 by way of Drew Right Music.

The lead single, ‘Me & Mr. Jones was released mid March and is currently available as a free download for a limited time via the singers MTV page.

I tried to count how many tines Nicki Minaj spat the word niggad on her new song, released tonight on the internets, but lost count at 20. I don’t know. It’s a catchy song and Minaj looks good in the desert in ripped bodywear while holding guns…

Music Review: Steven Knight – ‘Never Know’

By Carla B.

Follow on: @eotmpr on Twitter | EOTM.Media on Facebook

Summary: Steven Knight is the rare artist who admits to listening to his critics, so while I don’t think constructive criticism is any more a necessity for a successful review than explicitly telling readers whether or not a track is worth their hard-earned bucks, I occasionally find myself doing just that when I genuinely like an artist…and sometimes not. [shrugs] Needless to say…the process of offering my well-reasoned opinion which usually involves mostly negative comments, in a friendly manner…might I add…. has been rendered almost speechless. Keep reading…

Steven Knights “Never Know” ✴✴✴✴✴✴✴ | SuperSoulStar Entertainment

If you’re the chivalrous type – the sort of person who cherishes the thought of being in love; picnics in the park, long walks on the beach, soul mates, cross roads, things of that nature – you may just plummet, head over heals in love with Steven Knight’s  latest release, Never Know.

In a world that for years has become increasingly filled with crude, profane and explicit R&B artists who act and sound like wannabe rappers, Knight is still what he started out as: a sensitive, gentlemanly singer who’s not afraid to put his feelings and emotions on display.

Never Know is about crossroads in relationships, turning points — and although it’s a ballet, it’s quite a bit upbeat in style and tone. The “Forever” singer digs deep into the multitude of implications of devotedness, discovering that for just about anybody… love is possible if we allow it.

“Sometimes I wonder if your heart is mine, is true love our future…tell me, are you suppose to be at my side,” he belts.

In “Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart,” she’s crafted an intriguing refrain: “I’m gonna find a way to make it without you . . .,” admitting she’s still searching for a full-fledged sense of security in whatever newfound freedom she’s come into. But then she extends the thought with the kicker word “. . . tonight.” – See more at: http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/music_blog/2009/12/album-review-alicia-keys.html#sthash.LOChogQX.dpuf

In Never Know he’s crafted an intriguing refrain: “Baby do you see Forever, will we be together, do you leave my heart cold.” Admitting his vulnerability,  searching for a full-fledged sense of security in amour. But then he extends the thought with the kicker,  “Do I leave you open, burning heartbroken, do we stay or do we go…I guess we’ll never know…”

Is she taking the one-day-at-a-time approach of a 12-step program for romantic addiction? Is it merely the application of an emotional band-aid? Or might she be asserting that the path to true independence always begins right here, right now? It’s never entirely clear, and the ambiguity makes the song that much richer. – See more at: http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/music_blog/2009/12/album-review-alicia-keys.html#sthash.LOChogQX.dpuf

Interestingly, instead of going for more of a pop sound this time out, Knight heads in an even more sophisticated, adult contemporary direction. Steven Knight soars with this release — and after the all-too-human ups and downs he’s experienced through the track, ultimately he comes out of it sounding…well…. pretty darn super.

Indie Artist Ms. Drama Ganza Releases New Album, ‘Boozjee Kool Music’

Boozjee Kool Music: In the world of maestro this term refers to a variety of different feelings, states and attitudes that range from ‘above average,’ ‘below the sun,’ ‘humility in high places’ and ‘adaptable in all atmospheres.’ Boozjee Kool is the recognition of attractive qualities, or a sense of underlying oneness with all things music.

Ms. Drama Ganza continues to rise in the ever growing male dominated hip hop industry, releasing her first full length CD.

Santa Monica, CA (EOTM Media Group) October 28, 2013 – It was hard to avoid Ms. Drama Ganza in the winter of 2012. The talented artist spawned the hit single “My Gift of Gab,” which placed her solidly in the upper echelon of indie hip hop artists, with obvious mainstream appeal.

A trailblazer to watch, Drama Ganza is back with the buoyant new album, “Boozjee Kool Music,” Ganza’s first ever full length album.
“Boozjee Kool Music” finds the artist in top form, with her spitfire rapacious delivery which is instantly reminiscent to the true essence of hip hop, forging soul and authenticity back into the foundation of the genre.

The collection includes infectious songs like: Bet it Feels Good (Bottom Dollar). The track is a feel good arrangement which was performed at a songwriter’s workshop presented by renowned songwriters Reggie Calloway, Brenda Russell amongst others, all of whom praised her wordplay and overall execution of the song.

A brilliant multi-faceted lyricist, songwriter Drama Ganza has dominated the urban showcase scene in Atlanta by winning countless competitions for exuding extraordinary stage presence. Her style remains unique as she delivers conversational lyrics and punch lines with soulful tidbits that are raising eyebrows and garnishing nods from industry executives.

Though incomparable, the likes of a modern Lauryn Hill, splashed with the same creative juices as Missy mixed in a soulful brew similar to Mary J Blige, are all key ingredients to why Ms Drama Ganza is the exception. Her work ethic exceeds her talents as she works her way up to the number one spot.

As a finalist of Rapper Mc Lyte’s search for the “Next Top Female MC, two recent nominations from Entrepreneurs on the Move (EOTM Awards) and an honorable mention award recipient from Billboard as one of the world’s top songwriters, Ms Drama is definitely one to watch as she pushes the envelope of originality. Selling nearly 50k units single handedly wouldn’t hurt the claim to be deemed a Star D.I.Y artist.
