The man said he and DMX were having a conversation when a member of the performer’s entourage pulled a gun and demanded all of his money, NJ.com reports.

DMX then allegedly “snatched the money out of his hand” according to Newark police spokesman Sgt. Ronald Glover, and drove off.

The victim said he was carrying $3,200. He also said he followed the DMX’s car — one of four Cadillac Escalades — and got its license plate number, which he gave to police.

Death Row Exec Suge Knight exits Courthouse in an ambulance after Bail hearing

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Former rap music mogul Marion “Suge” Knight collapsed in a courtroom Friday shortly after a judge ordered him held on $25 million bail in a murder case.

Bailiffs cleared the courtroom, paramedics arrived with a stretcher a few minutes later and an ambulance was seen leaving the courthouse.

Defense attorney Matthew Fletcher said Knight was unconscious when the lawyer left the courtroom and an update on his condition was not immediately available.

Fletcher said his client, who is diabetic and has a blood clot, previously told him that he hadn’t received any medication since Thursday.

Knight hit his head on a chair when he fell after the bail hearing, Fletcher said.

The 6-foot-4-inch tall Knight collapsed while deputies were bringing him back into the courtroom after Fletcher asked a judge to order that Knight be given his medication.

The attorney said Knight was being kept in solitary confinement in jail without proper access to medication.

“He’s being treated worse than Charles Manson,” Fletcher said.

The collapse marked the fourth time that Knight has been taken by ambulance from a courthouse since he was charged with killing Terry Carter, 55, in early February.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Ronald S. Coen set bail on Friday at $25 million for Knight, who is accused of running down and killing Carter with his truck.

Coen made his decision after Deputy District Attorney Cynthia Barnes noted that Knight was on bail in a robbery case when he struck Carter and another man in a parking lot in Compton.

“He escalated his behavior and committed murder,” Barnes told the judge.

Fletcher argued that Knight’s bail should be set at $2 million, but Coen said the higher amount was warranted.

The attorney said before the hearing that his client likely could not post bail if it was set at $25 million.

Knight, the 49-year-old co-founder of Death Row Records, has pleaded not guilty to murder, attempted murder and hit-and-run charges.

Barnes filed a motion Thursday accusing Knight of being part of a scheme that has extorted more than $10 million from up-and-coming and established rappers in recent years.

Fletcher countered that prosecutors should file charges involving those extortion claims if they have enough evidence.

Fletcher also said phone records and other evidence in the murder case would show that Knight was lured to the location where the men were hit by the truck. Knight was attacked when he arrived and hit the two men while trying to flee the scene, the lawyer said.

Fletcher said Cle “Bone” Sloan acknowledged to sheriff’s investigators that he attacked Knight. The attorney argued his client wasn’t required to remain at the scene and endure the attack, and that Sloan should be charged.

“If his name wasn’t ‘Suge’ Knight, they wouldn’t have filed this case,” Fletcher said.

Knight was a key player in the gangster rap scene that flourished in the 1990s, his label once listing Dr. Dre, Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg among its artists. Knight lost control of the company after it was forced into bankruptcy.

Exposing Predictive Programming & Occult Symbolism in Hollywood

By Carla B.

Follow us: @EOTMOnline on Twitter | EOTM.Media on Facebook

Predictive programming is a subtle form of psychological conditioning provided by the media to acquaint the public with planned societal changes to be implemented.

I’ve been a fan of music and the big screen since I was a child, but something really wicked has been happening to even some of my most favorite musicians, actors, film makers, a transmutation of sorts…and its not one sided, it wants us too….the unsuspecting public. The big bad evil of Hollywood wants the public to watch their films….idolizing the stars, listen to their satanic music… through Beats by Dre, keeping our minds eye always open to suggestion. Its how the conditioning process begins. So, please “Be-aware”.

Occult Symbolism In Pop Culture

Yes, its bad y’all….and even with all the evidence in our faces it is still somewhat difficult for me to break things down in a way that will not make me appear bat sh*t crazy. So, hopefully this video below by KJ Ozborne from The Scariest Movie Ever on Youtube, can shed more light on the subject.

It seems as though the Illuminati has crept its way into contemporary culture so effectively that is doesn’t even seem to phase people anymore. Flashes of occult symbolism and Luciferian rituals have become so assimilated into the mainstream media that most of the uneducated youth now think it’s “cool” to flash the 666 or triangle hand signals in the schoolyard. -- Via CollectiveEvolution.com

Shocking Video Shows Suge Knight Hit-and-Run Incident

New disturbing video has surfaced that may impact the murder case against media mogul Suge Knight.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Newly released video graphically depicts former rap music mogul Marion “Suge” Knight running over two men with his pickup truck but leaves questions about an attack that he says forced him to speed away from the deadly crash.

Surveillance footage from a Compton fast food restaurant shows one of the men getting knocked down as the pickup reverses. The truck then speeds forward, running over the fallen man and a second man.

Attorney Mathew Fletcher, left, talks with his client Marion "Suge" Knight upon his arrival in court for a hearing about evidence in his murder case on Monday, March 9, 2015, in Los Angeles, Calif. An attorney for the Death Row Records co-founder says the video posted by celebrity news website TMZ shows that the men attacked his client before the January encounter and that it will help his defense against murder and attempted murder charges.

“They attacked ‘Suge’ without question,” lawyer Matthew Fletcher told reporters after a Monday court hearing.

The video is in possession of sheriff’s detectives and is being used in the investigation, Los Angeles sheriff’s spokeswoman Nicole Nishida said. The agency did not release the footage.

Gary Dordick, an attorney for the family of the slain man, Terry Carter, said the video shows “a senseless act of violence.” He said Carter, 55, was not involved in attacking Knight through the window of his truck and that the music figure should have driven off instead of using his truck as a weapon.

The video shows a red pickup pulling into the restaurant parking lot and a man approaching the driver’s side window. There is commotion in the cabin of Knight’s truck, but no clear footage of the purported attack.

“I told ‘Suge’: ‘This helps you beyond any stretch of the imagination,’” Fletcher said, adding that the law doesn’t require someone to flee an attack.

The confrontation occurred shortly after Knight was told to leave a location where a promotional video was being shot for “Straight Outta Compton,” a biopic about the rap group N.W.A. Authorities said the argument resumed at the parking lot.

Fletcher downplayed the argument at the video shoot, saying Knight complied when he was asked to leave the set.

Authorities accuse Knight of intentionally running over the men, killing Carter and seriously injuring Cle “Bone” Sloan. He has pleaded not guilty to murder, attempted murder and hit-and-run charges and could face up to life in prison if convicted of killing Carter on Jan. 29.

“The video makes clear that Mr. Carter’s tragic death was caused by unnecessary acts of violence initiated by Cle Sloan attacking Mr. Knight and Mr. Knight choosing to retaliate using his motor vehicle as a deadly weapon rather than simply driving off to a place of safety,” Dordick wrote in an email.

Carter was a friend of Knight, and authorities have said they do not believe he was involved in the attack. Sloan is an actor and film consultant.

Knight, 49, did not speak at Monday’s brief hearing, which came a week after he was taken to a hospital from a previous court appearance, where he told a judge he was going blind and had fired his legal team.

Knight is scheduled to return to court March 20.

@TheGRAMMYs 2015: Predictions, Nominees, Time, Date & Channel

By Michelle Stanton

Follow us: @EOTMOnline on Twitter |EOTM.Media on Facebook

Trying to predict the Grammys is a mug’s game: There are so many dang awards, the October-to-September eligibility period makes zero sense, and you’re never sure when the voters will just say, “Screw it” and hand an award to a bunch of old white guys whose band broke up 30 years ago.

2015 Grammy Predictions - Image credit(s) @Getty @EOTMMedia

Which is what makes it fun! In a year when most of the eventual Oscar winners have been locked in since December, it’s fun to watch an awards show where nobody has any idea what’s going to happen. This year, as in all years, there’s only one guarantee: The winners will make people mad. But which ones will make people maddest? Read our predictions below to see & sound off in comments!

Beyonce, Pharrell Williams and Sam Smith lead the pack of nominees this year with six nods each, including album of the year. Iggy Azalea, Beck, Eric Church, engineer Tom Coyne, Drake, Gordon Goodwin, Jay Z, Miranda Lambert, Sia, Usher and Jack White are not far behind with four nominations each.

Beyonce makes history this year by becoming the most-nominated female artist in Grammy history. U2 is now the most-nominated group in history — as the Irish band will be competing for best rock album for “Songs of Innocence.” Miley Cyrus, meanwhile, is in the running for her first Grammy — “Bangerz” is up for best pop vocal album. And the late Joan Rivers posthumously received a nod for best spoken word album for “Diary of a Diva.”

Buzz is building around some of the major categories for Music’s Biggest Night, including best new artist, which features some of the hottest top-notch talent to make it big this past year: Sam Smith, Iggy Azalea, Bastille, Haim and Brandy Clark.

But who’s it going to be?

Spotify compiled global data on the top streamed songs, albums and artists in each of the categories and came up with predictions based on number of streams and virality (shares). The team there expects Smith to take the category thanks to the success of his hit songs “Stay With Me” and “I’m Not the Only One.”

“He had an incredible breakthrough year last year with a fantastic album and a number of songs that Spotify listeners absolutely adored,” said Shanon Cook, Spotify’s trends expert.

Still, Cook says — don’t count out Bastille. “They had a massive song last year called ‘Pompeii.’ It started out as a big hit in the U.K. and it crossed over the Atlantic to the U.S.,” she said.

A couple of the same artists appear in the record of the year category: “Fancy,” Iggy Azalea featuring Charli XCX; “Chandelier,” Sia; “Stay With Me (Darkchild Version),” Sam Smith; “Shake It Off,” Taylor Swift; “All About That Bass,” Meghan Trainor.

All these songs are pretty great (and quite catchy we might add), but this category appears to come down to Sia, Swift and Smith. Spotify, for one, expects Sia to win for “Chandelier” based on its criteria.

But Julie Cunningham, SiriusXM Entertainment Weekly radio host, tells CBS News she thinks Smith could take the category.

The song of the year category — another big award (which goes to the songwriter) — features the following nominees: “All About That Bass,” Meghan Trainor and Kevin Kadish; “Chandelier,” Sia and Jesse Shatkin; “Shake It Off,” Taylor Swift, Max Martin and Shellback; “Stay With Me (Darkchild Version),” Sam Smith, James Napier and William Phillips; “Take Me to Church,” Hozier.

Both Smith and Sia have a strong chance of winning song of the year. But it’s really anyone’s guess at this point in the game.

“x” – Ed Sheeran”Beyonce” – Beyonce”Morning Phase” – Beck”In the Lonely Hour” – Sam Smith”Girl” – Pharrell Williams

And finally, there’s a range of acts competing for the night’s most coveted award: album of the year.

Beck is up for “Morning Phase,” Beyonce is in the running for her self-titled album, Ed Sheeran is nominated for “x,” and Smith will compete with his “In the Lonely Hour” set.

Some signs are pointing to Beyonce for the big win, but Spotify predicts Sheeran will take home the big prize.

“His album ‘Multiply’ was the biggest album we had last year. It got over more than 400 million streams. It was just a gorgeous album,” said Cook.

Smith is also a potential winner for this category, which means there’s a chance the British singer could see a few wins.
fye.com

“You would think this would be Taylor Swift’s year. She’s rising so high right now with ’1989′ but that’s actually not the case,” said Cunningham, who noted that Swift’s “1989″ album wasn’t released in time to be considered for the nominations – thought the single “Shake It Off” was.

Swift will, though, take a turn as a presenter, alongside many other stars, including Dierks Bentley, James Corden, Jamie Foxx, Barry Gibb, Dave Grohl, Jennifer Hudson, Enrique Iglesias, Nick Jonas, Anna Kendrick, Shia LaBeouf, Katharine McPhee, Gwyneth Paltrow, Pentatonix, Smokey Robinson, Nile Rodgers, Gina Rodriguez, Taylor Swift, Meghan Trainor, Keith Urban, The Weeknd and Stevie Wonder.

The ceremony will feature a host of performances and plenty of collaborations, too. Brandy Clark, AC/DC, Tony Bennett, Herbie Hancock, Hozier, ELO, Jessie J, Tom Jones, Lady Gaga, Miranda Lambert, Common, John Legend, Ariana Grande and Beck are all on the bill — and there will likely be a few surprises.

Madonna is reportedly going to kick off the evening with a few of her new songs.

And Sia is another performer to watch.

“She has a tendency to perform with her back to the audience or her face obscured…So I’m really excited to see how she executes this performance,” said Cook. “Are we going to actually see her?”

Super Bowl halftime performer Katy Perry will also take the stage. One question: How will she top those dancing sharks?

LL Cool J will keep the show moving as he’s hosting the ceremony once again, marking his fourth consecutive year as emcee.

“I think it’s admirable of them to have an African-American hosting the biggest music show in the world,” LL Cool J told CBS News.

So, as you see — some of the hottest stars in music will be honored at the 57th annual Grammy Awards. The show kicks off Sunday, February 9th at 8 p.m. ET –and airs live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on CBS.

Kanye West Opens Up About Why He Doesn’t Smile

Mystery solved. Kanye West, who is known for not smiling in photos as much as he is for making music, has finally explained why he prefers to take photos sans grin.

Yeezy opened up about the choice at The Daily Front Row‘s inaugural Fashion Los Angeles Awards on Jan. 22.

“Back when I was working on Yeezus, I saw this book from the 1800s and it was velvet-covered with brass and everything,” West said on stage at the star-studded event which was also attended by Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry and Rihanna, according to E! News. “I looked at all these people’s photos and they look so real and their outfits were incredible and they weren’t smiling and people, you know the paparazzi, always come up to me, ‘Why you not smiling?’ and I think, not smiling makes me smile. When you see paintings in an old castle, people are not smiling cause it just wouldn’t look as cool.”

At the show, where he was on hand to present an award to Milk Studios co-founder and creative director Mazdack Rassi, he also shared a bit about his fashion philosophy.

“In my opinion, God is the No. 1 creator, and anytime we create, we’re an extension of doing his work on earth,” the rapper said. “That’s why we’re here. What can we do for humanity? And you know, in a way, fashion is what defines the time.”

“Everyone has some form of fashion every single day,” he added. “We have the power to change the world. I believe that through design, because design is the closest to truth, problem solving truth is the closest to love, and love is the closest thing to God, and God is love.”
