Sometimes you have to disconnect, to reconnect….. #MotherNature

Connecting with Mother Earth and Our True Self…

“Whenever I walk barefoot, I meditate or do tai chi. I always have a clear recollection of the time when we were in such harmony with nature, with animals and birds, and with all that surrounds us – Mother Earth and Father Sky. I remember who we really were – perfect conscious creators together with Divinity.

I also remember the perfect symbiosis and interaction with heaven and earth. I see, sense, feel and know that all of us can feel that interaction too. It is in us, in our memories and in our hearts. I am conscious that we are able to be again in that. I smile and remember the last words of Yogananda: “Where Ganges, woods, Himalayan caves, and men dream God—I am hallowed; my body touched that sod.” – Daniel Mitel

Sometimes you have to get out of the city to truly begin to understand what TRUTH really is. Mother Nature will never disappoint you.

SAG Awards 2015: Winners often go on to win Oscars

The Screen Actors Guild awards have become an accurate predictor for the Oscars, largely because actors’ union members who vote in the SAG comprise the Academy’s largest voting block.

If the winners of Sunday night’s Screen Actors Guild awards seem particularly excited on their way up to the podium, it isn’t completely an act.

Now in its 21st installment, the SAG awards have been an accurate predictor of next month’s acting Oscars, largely because the 111,228 actors’ union members who vote for the SAG-gies comprise the Academy’s largest voting bloc.

Last year’s Academy Award winners — best actor Matthew McConaughey, best actress Cate Blanchett, and supporting actors Lupita Nyong’o and Jared Leto — all took home SAG statuettes first.

The ensemble category, however, have been less of a barometer of Oscar gold: The cast of “American Hustle” took the SAG trophy last year — but then watched as “12 Years a Slave” won the Academy Award for best picture.

This year’s SAG awards had the requisite pre-show controversy, thanks to a nominees list without Bradley Cooper and the ensemble cast of “American Sniper.”

Going into Sunday night, industry watchers considered the outstanding leading male actor too close to call between Michael Keaton (“Birdman”) and Eddie Redmayne (“The Theory of Everything”). Benedict Cumberbatch (“The Imitation Game”), Steve Carell (“Foxcatcher”) and Jake Gyllenhaal (“Nightcrawler”) rounded out that category, but were considered longshots.

“As an actor you pour everything you have into every role you do, there’s something alchemic that’s happens a film, you don’t know how it will be received,” Redmayne, who plays the ALS-stricken physicist Stephen Hawking, said as he entered Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium. “And the fact that so many people seem to.

Julianne Moore (“Still Alice”) was considered the favorite for the leading actress award, though Reese Witherspoon (“Wild”) had earned some buzz. Though she was shut out for an Oscar nom, Jennifer Aniston (“Cake”), can take solace in the old adage, “It’s an honor just to be nominated” (albeit for a SAG). Rosamund Pike (“Gone Girl”) and Felicity Jones (“The Theory of Everything”) were the other two nominees.

J.K. Simmons (“Whiplash) and Patricia Arquette (“Boyhood”) are considered the overwhelming favorites in the supporting actor categories.

Considerably more drama awaited on the television side, where the above-the-marquee talent vying for the best actor in a drama series included Steve Buscemi (“Boardwalk Empire”), Peter Dinklage (“Game of Thrones”), Woody Harrelson and McConaughey (“True Detective”) and Kevin Spacey (“House of Cards”).

Claire Danes (“Homeland”), Viola Davis (“How to Get Away with Murder”), Julianne Margulies (“The Good Wife”), Tatiana Maslany (“Orphan Black”), Maggie Smith (“Downton Abbey”) and Robin Wright (“The Good Wife”) are up for best actress in a drama series.

Phojoe ‘aged’ an existing portrait of the King in his prime for the realistic image, a process the company has used before for Kurt Cobain, John Lennon, Bob Marley and Janis Joplin.

Prepare to have your image of Elvis Presley all shook up.

For what would have been The King’s 80th birthday Thursday, public relations firm Sachs Media Group released an image created by the photo company Phojoe that envisions what the rock god might have looked like today.

This is what Elvis Presley would look like if he was still alive today, courtesy of Phojoe and the Sachs Media Group.

Presley died Aug. 16, 1977, at age 42.

Phojoe “aged” the teeth, skin, hair and eyes of Elvis to create an portrait that appears not terribly dissimilar to the current look of his rock peer, Jerry Lee Lewis, who is now 79.

Elvis isn’t the first rock star whose imaged was aged by Phojoe. In the past, the company has used its creative techniques to envisioned older looks for such deceased musicians as Kurt Cobain, John Lennon, Janis Joplin and Bob Marley.

Kim Kardashian is not the only Kardashian that have attempted to #BreakTheInternet. Her older sister Kourtney Kardashian is attempting to cause a bit of terror as well. The 35 year old —  9 month pregnant, mother of two recently posed nude for Dujour Magazine in a series of classy photos taken by Brian Bowen Smith, donning only a necklace and a thin cover up.

When asked, how she hoped people would react to her nude pictures, Kourtney says:

I don’t know. It’s what a woman’s body is made to do, so I hope it’s maybe seen as something that’s artistic. This was something that initially I did for myself just to capture the moment in my life, but these photos are beautiful and I’m happy to share them. And I like how raw they are. It’s my body: I’m not trying to impress anybody or be something that I’m not. But in general, I don’t really care that much about what people think. It doesn’t rule my world. I did this because I wanted to and it made me happy.
