50 Cent says he’s betting $1.6 million that Floyd Mayweather will beat Manny Pacquiao, Report

By Cain Cawthon

Rapper 50 Cent hasn’t always been nice to his former friend and business partner Floyd Mayweather.

It was just last August when the entertainer pledged to donate $750,000 to charity if the boxer could prove he could read. Mayweather did not take the challenge. Instead, he tweeted out pictures of two checks totally over $70 million and told 50 Cent to donate his money to Michael Brown’s family, referring to the young black man who was shot and killed by police in Ferguson, Missouri, last year.

Well, flash forward a few months later, and there might be hope for the pair’s friendship after all. 50 Cent went on “The Breakfast Club” on New York’s Power 105.1 FM Tuesday morning to report the two are on speaking terms again after meeting by chance at a Chris Brown show earlier this month. Not only that, but 50 Cent boasted he plans to bet $1.6 million on Mayweather to beat Manny Pacquiao when the two are scheduled to fight on May 2 in Las Vegas.

“Champ gonna smoke him,” 50 Cent said, referring to Mayweather, who holds both the WBC and WBA welterweight titles. 50 Cent then went on to describe Mayweather as “super focused,” and said, “It’s gonna look like [the fight] was pumped up for no reason.” He was downright nice!

As to why 50 Cent has decided to bet $1.6 million, as opposed to, say, a more round number like $1.5 million, 50 Cent says he’s “been thinking this out” and that he’s “gotta make a real bet.”

Rapper T.I. and Floyd Mayweather Las Vegas Fight Caught On Tape

UPDATED (5/26)

Floyd Mayweather  speaks out about how the brawl with rapper T.I. in Vegas really went down. ‘You do it in the ring. I do it in the streets,’ T.I. said according to Mayweather. In what could have been the biggest fight of his career (pun intended), in a showdown that included flying chairs and an exchange of blows which was all started by the “Rubber Band Man” rapper’s wife herself, Tiny, and she was proud of it! (or so it appeared)

“You already know!!!” she wrote. “There’s nothing like being surrounded by ‘THE BEST EVER!!! Champion s–t @floydmayweather @thatshekinah @thereallraye1 & @ikitchie #teammayweather”

And according to the champ:

“I been knowing Tiny before T.I.,” the 37-year-old fighter told celeb blogger Necole Bitchie in a phone interview, via Complex magazine, after the brawl. “I’ve never slept with her, I never kissed her, never touched her in no inappropriate way. Her friend Shekinah wanted to come to the (May 4th) fight, she brought Tiny with her. They came to the fight.”

Mayweather told the site that Sunday morning’s fight was not the first time T.I. approached him about the photo.

“(T.I.) came to me when I was in New York,” he recalled. “He stepped to me when I was at a jewelry store like, ‘Yo, let’s go outside and talk.’”

Their initial conversation had T.I. indicating that “these girls tryna play us against each other,” and Money Mayweather questioned if he was talking about Tiny.

“Me and your wife don’t have nothing … if you think so,” Mayweather said he told the Atlanta rapper at the time.

Despite the tension, Tiny spent time in Sin City over the Memorial Day weekend and posted another photo on Instagram, this time with the boxer’s 14-year-old daughter, Iyanna.

“Had to come celebrate with my new boo @moneyyaya,” the reality star captioned the pic. “Happy Birthday bae.”

According to Mayweather, after Tiny and her friend went to his daughter’s birthday party earlier in the day on Saturday, Tiny then attended a more adult party thrown by the boxer.

“Tiny and Shekinah was out here. They come to my party last night. They cool,” he said. “We was at the strip club.” He said he thought “everything was cordial” until T.I. approached him again while he was eating at Fatburger in the early morning hours on Sunday.

This time around Mayweather wasn’t to keen on talking and told the rapper, “You need to get the f–k outta my face. That’s what you better do.”

A day later, in an attempt to be the bigger man, Mayweather offered up an apology to Tiny for telling T.I. to “control your b–ch” during the altercation.

“I don’t want to say that about Tiny,” he said. “So I do apologize to Tiny because she cool people. She never been disrespectful to me.”

Boxer Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and rapper T.I. (Clifford Harris) created quite a stir in a Las Vegas FatBurger early Sunday and according to TMZ, the rappers wife Tiny (Tameka Harris), was the cause of the ruckus. Several witnesses confirm Floyd was eating inside the restaurant when T.I. walked up and started talking trash to Floyd.”

The video from the scene show tensions escalating with Mayweather yelling at  T.I., “control your b*itch,” referring to the rapper’s wife, Tiny.

The website also reports that T.I. took the first swing at the champ. By the time Las Vegas police arrived, Mayweather was on his way out and T.I. had already left the building.

Police did confirm that a Fatburger employee got a minor injury during the scuffle. The worker refused treatment and would not cooperate with the police.

Though I admire the little homie, T.I.’s bravery, standing up to Mayweather and all — it was probably not the smartest thing to do.  Thankfully for him, he came out unscathed.

The undefeated five-division world boxing champion wasn’t expected to fight till September — but it seems he couldn’t resist. (Check out the fight below)

The best revenge is massive success and Manny Pacquiao, well the champ is living in the moment.  Pacquiao, who promised to help Tim Bradley find his religion, did just that at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The loss was the first of Bradley’s 10-year pro career and dropped him to 31-1. Pacquiao is now 56-5-2.

Pacquiao easily beat his opponent, knocking him out in grand style, winning two scorecards by 116-112 margins and a third by a 118-110 score.

Pacquiao let his hands fly throughout the fight — staying above water dominating and in turn taking home a win, whereas many boxing felt it was well deserved, after the reverse the split decision loss he suffered on June 9, 2012.

“He gave me a good fight. He’s not that easy,” Pacquiao said. “I listened to my corner about keeping my hands up and timing. He threw a lot of punches. He threw wide, wide, wide hooks. I got hit one time and said it’s not good to be careless.”

Freddie Roach, Pacquiao’s trainer said: “Manny was a little sloppy tonight but I was happy with his performance. It looked like Bradley was going for a one-punch home run.”

“I tried, I really tried,” Bradley said. “I wanted that knockout. Manny is a great fighter, one of the best in the world. I lost to one of the greatest fighters in boxing. I kept trying to throw something over the top, that was the plan. I knew I had to do more in this fight than in the last fight.”

“I have no excuses,” Bradley added. “Stuff happens. I got nothing to say about it. I tip my hat to his whole corner, Freddie Roach and his whole team.”

Said Joel Diaz, Bradley’s trainer: “After the first round Tim came back to the corner and said, ‘I think I tore my right calf.’ I began to massage it. He was in a lot of pain from that point on and I didn’t have much to work with.”

Boxing champ Floyd Mayweather is in big trouble for allegedly being involved in a brutal beating and kidnapping, which was instigated because of a jewelry theft.

According to TMZ Mayweather orchestrated the beating of two of his employees after he suspected them of swiping jewelry from one of his Las Vegas homes.

Sources told TMZ  that the men were told to meet at an off-site location. The WBC welterweight champ was reportedly waiting with “a number” of his crew and the resulting attack left both men hospitalized with broken arms and legs.

Does this sound familiar? Yep….OJ Simpson is in jail…probably for life after a similar situation in Las Vegas ….years ago.

“It was some ‘Breaking Bad’ s—,” a source told the gossip website.

In the end, both men men reportedly ended up battered and hospitalized – with broken arms and legs. Now the men reportedly have a lawyer and Floyd might be in some real hot water.

Despite it all… Mayweather has not… I repeat,…has NOT…..been named a suspect.

The men denied taking the valuables, but Floyd only realised that they were saying the truth a little too late.

And now the alleged victims have lawyered up, intending to sue Floyd for attempted murder and kidnapping.

In 2011 Mayweather was charged with domestic violence for allegedly beating up his ex-girlfriend. He pled guilty to misdemeanour battery after a deal with prosecutors to drop the felony battery charge. He also had past domestic violence charges in 2002 and 2005.

In 2010, one of his bodyguards was arrested for shooting a man after the boxer confronted him. In separate and unrelated incidents, he was also charged with felony theft, coercions, and robbery charges.

Just last month Mayweather announced  that his next prize fight would be against WBA welterweight slugger Marcos Maidana on May 3 — guess that was just too long for him.

DMX to Fight George Zimmerman in Celebrity Boxing Match

UPDATED

Rapper DMX is set to fight George Zimmerman, the former neighborhood watchman who was found not guilty in the shooting death of Florida teen Trayvon Martin.

Zimmerman — who told Radar Online last month that boxing was his hobby even prior to the “incident”— has been searching for a celebrity to step into the ring with him ever since Damon Feldman, owner of Celebrity Boxing, opened his inbox to potential opponents. ”The news has been out for an hour and my e-mail is overloaded with 8,000 people wanting to fight George,”  Feldman told CNN.

It turned out there are a lot of people eager to go a few rounds with Zimmerman, who was acquitted in the February 2012 “incident” in which he shot dead the unarmed Martin. Out of a final pool of 15,000 applicants, Feldman chose to put Zimmerman in the ring with rapper DMX.

Now that the match up is set, the rapper is out for blood.  He told TMZ, “I am going to beat the living f–k out him … I am breaking every rule in boxing to make sure I f–k him right up.” While the 43 year old rapper intends to win, Zimmerman, 30, has been training for months. Luckily, the Twitterverse has a few ideas to even the odds:

The date, time, and location of the three-round fight will be announced at a news conference next Wednesday.

Update: DMX’s publicist Domenick Nati has provided NewsFeed with the following statement:

“The boxing match between George Zimmerman and DMX is not officially confirmed. DMX has promised to “beat his ass”, but no contract or paperwork has been signed or agreed to yet. DMX will release an official statement if and when an agreement is made.”
