Mark Twain once said: “The man who doesn’t read good books has no advantage over the man who can’t read them.” In that spirit, here are three great books I’ve read lately that you should read, too!

1. The Word for World is Forest by Ursula K. Le Guin

2. The Ascension Mysteries by David Wilcock

3. Frabato the Magician by Franz Bardon

The Word for World is Forest by Ursula K. Le Guin

When the inhabitants of a peaceful world are conquered by the bloodthirsty yumens, their existence is irrevocably altered. Forced into servitude, the Athsheans find themselves at the mercy of their brutal masters.

Desperation causes the Athsheans, led by Selver, to retaliate against their captors, abandoning their strictures against violence. But in defending their lives, they have endangered the very foundations of their society. For every blow against the invaders is a blow to the humanity of the Athsheans. And once the killing starts, there is no turning back.

Understanding “The Law of One,” By RA

  • The Ascension Mysteries – Best Quotes

“We do-not view all the happenings on earth as negative. However, it is easy for one who is uninformed to perceive negativity in their midst. This is the function of the mirror to the self when it is turned within. When you begin to realize the non deterministic structure to your physical plane of existence and the degree to which intelligence sculpts and molds everything that is occurring, you can indeed have a greater appreciation for all the positive events that are brought to you. In a Newtonian Universe of simple Cause & Effect, the one particle bumping into another — these magical processes would not occur. It is wise for you to always recognize and thank the higher forces in manifestations that you achieve. Never forget that the entire pathway is visible to us in your third dimensional sense — and we are always standing by to help you and guide you through it. For now, we depart. We again, remind you that you are loved more than you could ever possibly imagine and the events will prevail in your future that define that quite correctly.

Be a Service to Others: Love, Forgive, Ascend.....

Its getting better all the time. The changes happening to us now as a planet is very obvious . People seem to be hurting one another more than ever, but we are actually becoming a more peaceful people. I want to close with a scientific study from December 23, 2015 – 2 days before Christmas, that is truly remarkable. Despite the screeching of the media with fear provoking headlines, the level of violence in the world is sizeably decreasing. This year may be remembered for barrel bombs, beheadings, etc — but according to Steven Pinker, a Harvard Psychologist, a remarkable long term downward trend in violence is continuing. The news is a systematically misleading way to understand the world. In the past five years alone conflicts have ended in Shad, Peru, Iran, India, Sri Lanka and Angola — and if peace talks currently underway in Columbia are a success, war will have vanished from the western hemisphere. Formally wars span the globe and there were 30 between 1945 and 1990 that killed 100,000 people or more; including wars in Greece, China, Mozambique, Algeria, Tibet, Guatemala, Uganda and East Timor. With the exception of last years small wars in Ukraine, the zone of war has contracted to a crescent from central Africa through the middle east into South Asia. In Better Angels, Pinker argues that almost every other kind of violence, including murders, capital punishment, domestic violence, torture and hunting has also fallen sharply. The Tibetans practiced a meditation discipline that involved stilling the mind and having loving thoughts. If you could have every thought be a loving thought and meditate on your own consciousness as being the empty awareness of the Universe for 13 years — your body would dissolve into pure light. They call this, The Rainbow Body. There are 160,000 documented cases of this happening in Tibet, India and China — alone. It may not be a popular idea right now but the proof is there. The transition The Law of One and my own readings or discussing does not require every thought to be a loving thought, all you have to do is be slightly above 50% Service to Others, as opposed to Service of Self and you are cleared for Ascension. ” — David Wilcock, The Ascension Mysteries.

Harper Lee to Publish ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ Sequel, Report

After more than 50 years, author Harper Lee will follow up her beloved, and only, book To Kill a Mockingbird with her second novel, Go Set a Watchman, set for release on July 14th, publisher Harper Collins announced today.

The recently unearthed book is a quasi-sequel to Lee’s 1960 classic, but as the author explained in a statement, Go Set a Watchman was actually written first and would eventually inspire Mockingbird. “It features the character known as Scout as an adult woman and I thought it a pretty decent effort,” Lee said. “My editor, who was taken by the flashbacks to Scout’s childhood, persuaded me to write a novel from the point of view of the young Scout. I was a first-time writer, so I did as I was told.”

Set in the mid-Fifties, Go Set a Watchman finds a grown-up Scout, a.k.a. Jean Louise Finch, traveling from New York back to her home of Maycomb, Alabama to visit her father, Atticus. The book centers around Scout’s relationship with her father and his worldview, as well as her attitude towards her hometown in a new era of continued, if not heightened, racial tension. Go Set a Watchman will feature a number of other Mockingbird characters.

While Lee said she’d lost track of Watchman, her friend and lawyer Tonja Carter discovered the original manuscript attached to a typescript of To Kill a Mockingbird last fall. “After much thought and hesitation I shared it with a handful of people I trust and was pleased to hear that they considered it worthy of publication,” Lee said. “I am humbled and amazed that this will now be published after all these years.”

Published by J.B. Lippincott in 1960, To Kill a Mockingbird is Scout’s coming-of-age story set against the backdrop of a racially charged trial, in which Atticus defends Tom Robinson, a black man accused of raping a white woman, Mayella Ewell. Widely considered an American classic, the book won the Pulitzer Prize upon its initial publication and was turned into an equally beloved film in 1962 featuring Gregory Peck’s iconic performance as Atticus Finch.

Lourdes Duque Baron to Release Second Book Worldwide Early 2015 – Best Sellers

Published by EOTM News Editor on December 11th, 2014 - in Authors, Breaking News, Press Releases

“‘I Called Myself Cassandra’ puts ’50 Shades of Grey’ to shame in reciting the affairs in detail. However, it’s respectful in turning those events toward female empowerment and marital renewal,” says Sofia Landon of Splash Magazines.

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) December 10, 2014

Award-winning author, Lourdes Duque Baron, officially released her second book, “I Called Myself Cassandra,” on June 14, 2014 in a limited-edition hardcover format. The book will be released worldwide on Amazon and Barnes and Noble, as well as other websites, in early Spring 2015 through Friesen Publishing. The book is a real life story of scandal, through the eyes of Baron’s alter ego Cassandra, and follows the falling in and out of love of a young woman who tells a seductive story about her encounters and affairs in her quest to mend her broken heart.

Lourdes Duque Baron

As an accomplished author of two books, Baron is refreshingly candid about the realities and dark past of her life. In the book, Baron’s alter ego, Cassandra, details the several torrid affairs she sought out with younger men. The book chronicles a dark chapter of Baron’s life when she was estranged from her husband, who was cheating on her. The stories in the book are true from her life; she lived every page of the book. Baron explains, “It’s a memory of my reality.”

Baron talks about the pain she felt as a result of her husband’s infidelities. “There were times when the pain was unbearable. Usually, those were the times when I foolishly tried to mask this pain with the temporary physical bliss and false validation I received from men.”

Sofia Landon of Splash Magazines described the book; “ ‘I Called Myself Cassandra’ puts ’50 Shades of Grey’ to shame in reciting the affairs in detail. However, it’s respectful in turning those events toward female empowerment and marital renewal.”

When Baron sits back to survey her experiences from this chapter in her life, the emotion that rises is one of gratitude. “I Called Myself Cassandra” details the wrong turns and heartaches that have allowed her to recognize the gifts in her life and the message of a new sunrise.

Baron’s other projects include an upcoming feature film in development; an adaptation of her book “Scripted In Heaven.” Visit the Scripted In Heaven Film Official Web Site.

Has comedian Joan Rivers went too far this time?  The funny lady recently officiated a same-sex wedding and was asked by a photographer if she believed the United States would ever see the first gay or female president. This was her response:

“We already have it with Obama, so let’s just calm down. You know Michelle (Obama) is a trans.”

When asked to further explain Rivers said:

“A transgender. We all know it. I think it’s a compliment. She’s so attractive, tall, with a beautiful body, great face, does great makeup. Take a look and go back to La Cage Au Follies (sic). The most gorgeous women are transgender. Stop it already … and if you want to talk about ‘politically correct,’ I think this is a ‘politically incorrect’ attack on me because I’m old, Jewish, a woman and a ‘hetty’ — a heterosexual … and I plan to sue the reporter who, when he turned off his camera, tried to touch me inappropriately on the a** – luckily he hit my ankle. Read the book … if you think that’s silly, wait to (sic) you see what I say about FDR and Eleanor!”

Interestingly, these new comments are just in time for her new book, “Diary of a Mad Diva,” which was released on July 1st.

When reached for comment on her words, Rivers said, “I think it’s a compliment.”

Media Alert: Award Winning Author, Singer Lourdes Duque Baron, Set To Release “I Called Myself Cassandra”

After much buzz, Award Winning Author, Singer & Entrepreneur Lourdes Duque Baron, announces the International launch of her new book, “I Called Myself Cassandra.”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

EPR (Press Release)Apr. 17, 2014SANTA MONICA, Calif.Confessions of a wild child, featuring heart ache and pain. Navigating through a time in her life that was exquisitely painful.

Many people have asked, and in “I Called Myself Cassandra,” we discover how Lourdes Duque Baron became the woman she is today.

Lourdes scorchingly soulful voice first dazzled most of us with La Vie En Rose back in 2013. Notably the diva was a budding 66 years old for the launch of her 1st musical release and most recently in the sleek and funky cover of Me & Mr Jones ft AKNU.

Her achievements in the music industry thus far have been legendary, well known to her fans. But the private side of Lourdes, the story of what betrayal, love lost and mercy have cost her – and taught her – hasn’t been told before.

In I Called Myself Cassandra, Lourdes gives us the whole story of the woman behind the powerhouse and reveals her high and low points. Destined to be a memoir must-have, and sources close to Baron’s camp reveal there may be a movie deal in the making.

The dissertation will be available on www.lourdesduquebaron.net,  June 14,2014 and released at a later date on Amazon, Kindle and other fine booksellers across the US.

Baron recently opened up to Kaleidoscope Podcast, sharing her reasons for baring intimate, secret indiscretions for not only the world to read but her daughter, nieces and girlfriends as well.

Lourdes said:

“I thought long and hard about writing this book. I’ve had so many sleepless nights tackling if revealing my dark past was the right thing to do for myself and my family. It was a time whereas both my husband and I were spiraling out of control. Then I thought, this memoir is a chance for me to show that we are not perfect, we all make mistakes. In the end my intention is to prove true loves conquers all, but only if both forgive in the same way God forgives, and that he forgets, even our darkest hours.”

The first stop of the book launch will take place on Saturday, June 14, 2014 from 12:00pm – 5:00pm at the Barrios’ Hilltop Glendale Mansion – 3021 Waverly Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90039.

Celebrities including Grammy Award winning producer Andrew Lane, Singer Fawn, Recording artist JD Charisma, Actress Becca Minas, CC Perkinson, Linda England, Diane Schock, Adi Rodriguez amongst others are confirmed to attend.

Baron is also working on her debut album, “Feeling Good At Any Age,” set to release this summer. She says, “I want to inspire my fellow baby boomers, it’s never to late to discover your passion and live your dreams.”
