JoJo Signs New Deal With Atlantic Records

Published by EOTM News Editor on January 15th, 2014 - in Entertainment

After seven long years of label limbo, JoJo finally said leave (get out) to Blackground Music (AKA the world’s worst record company). It was revealed today (January 14) that the 23-year-old signed a deal with Atlantic Records in December and will finally get around to releasing her much-anticipated third album in 2014.

Getty Image

This is incredibly good news for the diva. JoJo has one of the finest voices in popular music — a fact she continued to underline with excellent mixtapes and 2011′s “Disaster” — and it’s a crime that we’ve been deprived of a new album since 2006′s The High Road. There’s no word yet as to when we can expect new music but the sooner, the better as far as her long-suffering fans are concerned.

Though Jojo has yet to comment on the apparent resolution of her long-running legal drama, she did re-tweet several supportive messages from famous fans, including B. Scott and singer Bridget Kelly.

Los Angeles Police Raid Justin Bieber’s home

UPDATED

Police officials are currently enforcing a felony search warrant on Justin Bieber’s Calabasas mansion, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff Department. The warrant was served around 8 a.m. PST.

Getty Image

The situation stems from an egg throwing incident. Let me repeat that, the situation stems from an egg throwing incident involving a neighbor. [straight face]

According to TMZ sources, Bieber, 19, was being held in his garage as deputies executed the warrant.

“The purpose of the search warrant was to seek video surveillance or other possible evidence in the vandalism that occurred on January 9, 2014,” the sheriff’s statement said.

The neighbor first filled a complaint against the singer on Jan. 9, alleging that it was Bieber who launched a major egg attack on his home. There was also a video shot during the alleged incident,  which was posted on TMZ– and in the clip he can be heard arguing and screaming at the egg perpetrator.

During the clip, a voice is heard shouting back at the neighbor: “F–k you! I got another one for you, actually!”

The incident reportedly caused $20,000 worth of damage to the neighbor’s house.

Justin Bieber house guest arrested

One of Bieber’s house guests, rapper Lil Za, was arrested when deputies allegedly found illegal drugs during their search, Thompson said. Although the drugs were initially reported to be cocaine, Thompson later said they are believed to be Ecstasy and Xanax, but lab tests will be needed to confirm it.

The suspect was identified as Xavier Smith, 20, who performs under the name Lil Za, Thompson said.

He was set to be released later Tuesday after posting a $20,000 bond, Thompson said. But while in the booking cell, he allegedly broke a telephone while trying to arrange that bond, and then he was charged with felony vandalism for the phone incident, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff Sgt. Chad Waters, the watch commander at the Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station

Smith was kept in custody on the newest charge.

Hmmmm, I am not condoning this type of behavior…but let me pose this question: If this happened in any other neighborhood would this be news or even better, would it go to this extreme?

Maybe I need to read the law book on eggs attack consequences in Los Angeles county. (please excuse my ignorance on these sort of issues)

Only in Hollyweird — UGH! We’ll keep you posted with any CRACKS in the case.

(UPDATED)

Mild mannered, lol… only kidding — Hip hop recording artist Kanye West is under investigation for battery in Beverly Hills, according to police officials.

Getty Image

The hip hop head lost his cool and turned violent after an unnamed man used the N-word while holding a door open for Kim Kardashian, according to  TMZ.com.

The perpetrator first dropped the F-word and N-word while referring to a group of paparazzi hot on Kardashian’s tail, TMZ said.

When Kardashian told the man he shouldn’t use the N-word in that context, the man reportedly began screaming at her.

“F–k you b—h. Just trying to help you. Shut up n—-r lover, stupid slut,” he reportedly replied. West punched the guy as Kardashian screamed, “We have it all on tape,” witnesses told TMZ. I’m sure that will be a nice payday for the bystander.

“The named suspect was identified as Kanye West by the victim and several witnesses,” police said in a statement. West left the scene before officers arrived, police said.

EOTM News’ request for a statement has not yet been answered.

Authorities are conducting a follow-up investigation. No further information was available, said Beverly Hills Police Sgt. George DeMarois.

West is currently facing charges stemming from an incident last July involving paparazzi at LAX. In November, West pleaded not guilty to charges of battery and grand theft in connection with the incident.

Rob Wilcox, spokesman for the Los Angeles city attorney’s office, said each of the two charges carries a maximum sentence of six months in jail.

How time fly’s, right!?

It’s been exactly five years since Fergie and Josh professed their eternal love for one another, standing in front of 367 guests.

The happy couple first met after the Black Eyed Peas made a guest appearance on Duhamel’s former show Las Vegas. It was love at first site for the beau.

“After they finished rehearsing, I was walking out, and all of a sudden she was walking toward me,” Duhamel said in the July/August 2007 issue of Best Life. “I was like, Oh boy. She stopped. And this is so sad, but I said, in this desperate voice, ‘You’re hot!’

How adorable is that!?

Evidently Fergie felt the feeling to be mutual.

The singer gave birth to their first child, Axl Jack Duhamel in August of 2013.

Whitney Houston’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina secretly marries adopted brother

Whitney Houston’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown is happily married to her adopted brother, Nick Gordon. The 20-year-old shared the news via Twitter on Thursday:

Bobbi Kristina included a pic of the couples hands — donning wedding rings.

Brown and Gordon announced their engagement in October 2012 during their short-lived reality show “The Houstons: On Our Own.”

A month after announcing their engagement  the two actually called it off. The couple rekindled their relationship soon after — announcing the news on Facebook:

“Yes, me and Nick are engaged. I’m tired of hearing people say, ‘Eww you’re engaged to your brother’ or ‘If Whitney was still alive, would we be together or would she approve of this? Let me clear up something, we aren’t even real brother and sister, nor is he my adoptive brother. My mom never adopted him. In fact, mommy was the one who even said that she knew that we were going to start dating.”

Gordon lived with Houston and her family throughout his teen years.

Nick and Kristina’s relationship has been volatile to say the least, from him publicly cheating on the famous daughter, to arrests and car accidents. Hopefully all the dram is behind them.
We wish the couple all the best.
